Drill Teams

"Drill Teams" are after-school activies that a student in AFJROTC can take part in. These teams can vary from Armed-Exibition, Sabre Team, Un-Armed Drill, and Color gaurd. Each team is taught differently and uses different equipment, but they all share a professional style. With a lot of training, and determination, a select few from each team will represent our corp in Drill Meets, where the cadets chosen get to show off their expert skills. The list of teams is down below, as well as what they do and what their practice times are:

  • Un-Armed Drill Team: This team doesnt use any equipment such as rifles or sabres, instead it focuses on the basic drill you learn in the AFJROTC program. With great precision and spot on timing, this team will have cadets performing drill with ease!

Days & Times: Every teusday @ 0745, hosted at BHS

  • Armed-Exhibition Team: This team's expertise is in the handling of rifles! With new commands that are not taught in basic drill, Armed-Exhibition will have cadets looking sharp with both their basic drill skills and their rifle handling skills. (Rifles are not loaded and are completely harmless.)

Days & Times: Every thursday @ 1615, hosted at BHS

  • Sabre Team: Sabre team specializes in handling sabres, or swords. Also with new commands, this team is one of the most precise teams in the corp with cadets who look quite sharp when they handle a sabre.

Days & Times: Every teusday @ 0745, hosted at BHS

  • Color Gaurd Team: This team is the most honorable team. Carrying our nation's flag in various events, this team is the sharpest in drill. The flags are gaurded by two gaurds, each holding a rifle. This team brings in cadets who handle the flags, or man the rifles!

Days & Times: Practices are disclosed by the Color Gaurd Commander, Noah Nugent

  • Model Rocketry Team:
